About Fitness Vitality

My love of running started in my school days, when I competed in various Championships and represented England Schools. My passion for running continued into adulthood and I am keen to pass on my knowledge and experience to others. I qualified as a UK Athletics Coach in 2006, specialising in Endurance, Speedwork and Conditioning involving running and athletics equipment.

I began using my coaching skills at my local running club, where I continue to enjoy helping runners of all levels to fullfil their potential. In 2009 I started my own Running Club at Balance Health Club, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy running as part of a group and develop their own running skills. I am also proud to be working on a 'one to one basis' with a Team GB Triathlete, Melanie Ryding who was keen to improve her running discipline and is now seeing excellent results.

I firmly believes that exercise not only helps with weight control and general welbeing, but also offers relief from the day to day stresses that life brings. Exercise should be fun, sociable and enjoyed by all age groups and abilities. I have also recently qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer.

 
I am a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and a Level 2 UK Athletics Coach. My qualifications include :-
  • YMCA Level 3 Personal Trainer
  • YMCA Level 2 Gym Instructor
  • Level 2 UKA Athletics Coach (specialising in endurance and strengthening and conditioning)
  • Leadership in Running ( England Athletics ).
  • Coach in Running Fitness ( England Athletics )
  • C.R.B checked
  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children certificate
  • Emergency Aid for sport ( British Red Cross )
